These Terms of Use apply to the use of the myLumita website, mobile applications and related digital services.

In these Terms, “myLumita”, “we”, “us” or “the Service” refers to the myLumita service operated by Erdős Tímea EV, registered sole proprietor, unless the context clearly means the application or service itself.

By creating an account, using myLumita, starting a subscription or accessing any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use, the Sales and Subscription Terms, and the Privacy Policy.

1. What myLumita is

myLumita is a family organization app that helps families keep everyday planning, shared information and household routines in one place.

Depending on your plan, device and region, myLumita may include features such as:

  • shared family calendar,
  • tasks, chores, errands and reminders,
  • shopping lists,
  • meal planning, recipes and menu organization,
  • family chat,
  • notes and important family information,
  • invitations by link, QR code or family code,
  • optional family map and location sharing,
  • baby routines and care notes,
  • pet notes and reminders,
  • vehicle notes and reminders,
  • household and budget organization tools,
  • personal journals, such as period/cycle tracking, blood sugar records, wellness notes or daily records.

myLumita is designed to support everyday family coordination. It does not replace professional, medical, financial, legal, safety or emergency advice.

2. Account creation and account responsibility

Some myLumita features require an account. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.

You are responsible for:

  • keeping your login details secure,
  • all activity that happens through your account,
  • making sure that only trusted people are invited to your family space,
  • checking that the information you share is appropriate for the people who can access it.

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us as soon as possible at info@mylumita.com.

3. Family spaces and invitations

myLumita is built around shared family spaces. A family space may allow members to share calendars, tasks, lists, notes, messages, routines, reminders, location information and other family content.

Family members may be invited by invitation link, QR code, family code or another method made available in the app. Anyone who receives a valid invitation or code may be able to join the family space, depending on the app settings.

Please keep invitation links, QR codes and family codes private and share them only with people you trust.

Content shared in a family space may be visible to other members of that family space. If a member leaves or is removed, some content they previously added may remain available to the family space if it is part of shared family organization, such as calendar events, lists, tasks or notes.

4. Children and family use

myLumita may be used by families, and parents or legal guardians may record information relating to children, such as routines, school events, family reminders or care notes.

Children under 16 may use myLumita only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, where consent is required by applicable law. The GDPR sets 16 as the default age for a child’s consent in relation to information society services unless a Member State sets a lower age, and parental authorization is required below that age.

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for the child’s use of myLumita and for any child-related information they add to the Service.

Please only add information about children that is necessary and appropriate for family organization.

5. User content

When you use myLumita, you and members of your family space may add content such as calendar events, tasks, shopping lists, recipes, meal plans, notes, chat messages, baby care records, pet reminders, vehicle reminders, budget notes, personal journals, wellness records, blood sugar entries, cycle records, location sharing data or other information.

You remain responsible for the content you add. myLumita does not claim ownership of your user content.

However, in order to operate the Service, you give myLumita permission to technically process, store, display, synchronize, back up, transmit and make your content available to the family space members who are allowed to access it.

You must make sure that the content you add or share:

  • is lawful,
  • does not violate another person’s rights,
  • does not include information you are not allowed to share,
  • is not misleading, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harmful or illegal.

6. Prohibited use

You must not use myLumita to:

  • access another person’s account or family space without permission,
  • harass, threaten, deceive or harm others,
  • upload or share content that endangers or exploits minors,
  • upload illegal, hateful, violent, pornographic or seriously offensive content,
  • upload malware, viruses or harmful code,
  • reverse engineer, attack, overload or interfere with the Service,
  • use automated scraping or unauthorized data extraction,
  • bypass security or access controls,
  • misuse the myLumita name, design, brand or interface in a misleading way.

If we believe that your use of myLumita violates these Terms, applicable law or the rights of others, we may remove content, restrict access, suspend your account or terminate your account.

7. Family map and location sharing

The family map and location sharing feature is optional.

Location sharing works only when a family member chooses to enable it and grants the required location permissions on their device. Mapbox documentation states that Mapbox may receive location data when an end user uses an app with Mapbox mobile SDKs and the end user has authorized device location access.

Location sharing is intended for everyday family coordination. It is not an emergency location service, safety monitoring service, rescue service or security system.

Location information may be inaccurate, delayed, outdated or unavailable for reasons including GPS limitations, weak signal, network issues, battery-saving settings, operating system restrictions, device problems, disabled permissions or third-party service outages.

You can turn off location sharing at any time in the myLumita app or through your device’s operating system settings.

8. Health-related and personal journals

myLumita may include personal record-keeping features such as baby care notes, period and cycle tracking, blood sugar journal, wellness records or daily personal notes.

These features are for personal record keeping only.

myLumita is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. It does not provide medical advice and does not replace a doctor, midwife, nurse, pharmacist, dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, especially before making decisions based on health-related information.

9. Budget and household tools

myLumita may include budget, household and reminder tools. These features are for personal and family organization only.

myLumita does not provide financial, tax, legal, insurance or investment advice. You are responsible for checking the accuracy of any amounts, reminders, deadlines or household information you record.

10. Third-party services

myLumita may rely on third-party services to operate certain features, including:

  • Firebase, Firestore, Google Cloud or related backend services,
  • Mapbox for maps and location-related display,
  • RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management,
  • Apple App Store for iOS distribution and in-app purchases,
  • Google Play for Android distribution and in-app purchases,
  • Stripe for web or desktop payments, including where used through RevenueCat.

These third-party services may have their own terms, privacy notices and technical requirements. We do not control every aspect of their availability, rules, pricing, payment processing, app store policies or service performance.

11. Paid features and subscriptions

Some myLumita features may be free. Other features may require a paid subscription.

Subscriptions, prices, trial periods, renewals, cancellations, refunds and withdrawal rights are governed by the myLumita Sales and Subscription Terms.

12. Intellectual property

The myLumita name, logo, design, interface, software, graphics, texts, structure, database design and other service elements are owned by the Provider or its licensors.

Using myLumita does not give you ownership of the software, brand, design or any intellectual property belonging to myLumita or the Provider.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use myLumita for personal, family and non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

13. Availability, updates and changes

We aim to keep myLumita reliable and secure, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available on every device or in every region.

The Service may be affected by maintenance, updates, technical issues, internet problems, device settings, operating system changes, app store rules or third-party service outages.

We may update, improve, rename, limit or discontinue features for technical, legal, security or business reasons. If a change is significant, we will try to provide appropriate notice.

14. Limitation of liability

myLumita is a family organization and record-keeping service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for:

  • inaccurate or incomplete information entered by users,
  • decisions made based on user-entered data,
  • misunderstandings between family space members,
  • loss caused by shared access within a family space,
  • third-party service errors or outages,
  • inaccurate, delayed or unavailable location information,
  • failure of reminders, notifications or calendar events,
  • health, safety, financial or legal decisions made based on myLumita records,
  • problems caused by devices, internet access, app stores or operating systems.

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

15. Account deletion

You may delete your account through the app if this feature is available, or request deletion by contacting info@mylumita.com.

Deleting your account may result in deletion of your personal data, except where we need to keep certain information for legal, accounting, security, fraud prevention or dispute resolution reasons.

Some shared family content may remain available to other family space members if it is part of the shared family space, unless it is deleted by an authorized user or deletion is required by law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The updated version will be published on the website or in the app. If the change is significant, we will try to notify you separately.

If you continue using myLumita after the updated Terms take effect, this means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using myLumita and may delete your account.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary.

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at info@mylumita.com so we can try to resolve the issue.

Consumer disputes may also be submitted to a Hungarian conciliation board. The Budapest Conciliation Board describes itself as an alternative dispute resolution forum that helps consumers and businesses settle consumer disputes out of court.
